Have you ever wondered if “Jason” is romantically interested in you? One minute you think that he does and then, the next minute, you think it might be just your imagination.
Or, you have no interest in “Jason” at all and you’re hoping that he’s not romantically interested because you really would not like to destroy your friendship when you may have to reject him.
Whatever the circumstances, it will do you well to understand if “Jason” likes you or not. However, I would not recommended over-thinking to the extent that you allow the situation to steal your joy or ruin a friendship.
BE THE RIGHT WOMAN FOR THE RIGHT MAN!
Ever feel like you don’t know what a godly man is looking for in a wife? Our Irresistible Godly Woman Checklist will give you clear insights so you can stop guessing and start preparing … while reaching your full potential as a single Christian woman.
If you know that he’s interested in you and you are NOT interested in him at all, you will need to be extremely careful about what you say and what you do around him so that he will not get the wrong impression.
For instance, here are three no-no’s if you’re not interested in him:
- No flirting at all.
- No playing with his feelings.
- No using him because you need a date for your cousin’s wedding or you need to pass the time with him until your “Mr. Right” shows up on the scene.
It’s neither kind nor loving to play with a man’s feelings.
If the feelings are mutual, then you do not want to behave in a manner that will make him think that you dislike him. You do not want to send him away!
- Here are 10 signs that a guy is romantically interested in you:
- 1. He will go out of his way to spend time with you.
- 2. He will spend lots of hours talking with you.
- 3. He is willing to help you with anything, even things he doesn’t know how to do.
- 4. He offers to pick you up and drop you back home.
- 5. He will boast about his accomplishments, knowledge, and possessions.
- 6. You observe him staring at you.
- 7. He will want to know a lot about you.
- 8. He will compliment you frequently.
- 9. He will find himself in your presence … up close and personal.
- 10. You might hear mutual friends (or his relatives) mention that he has been talking about you.
Here are 10 signs that a guy is romantically interested in you:
1. He will go out of his way to spend time with you.
If a man is seriously interested in you, he will want to spend time with you. He will make the effort and make the necessary sacrifices to be with you. He is willing to give up important things, like watching his favourite sport, to go out with you.
2. He will spend lots of hours talking with you.
A very large percentage of men are not natural talkers, so if you find a man sharing his views and opinions for hours “on end” with you, the probability, that he likes you, is pretty high. He will lose sleep to talk with you!
3. He is willing to help you with anything, even things he doesn’t know how to do.
A love struck man will try to impress a woman he’s romantically interested in. He will acquire skills he never had! He will show interest in activities or projects that never tickled his fancy in the past.
Examples:
- He will learn (in record time) how to fix a phone and he’s not the fix-it techie type;
- He will join you in a marathon although he is currently badly out of shape; or
- He will offer to repair your computer and he has never had an experience fixing a computer in his life, etc.
Men do crazy things when they are “in love”!
4. He offers to pick you up and drop you back home.
If you need a ride, you will offer even if he has to go out of his way. He will make the sacrifice for you. He will do this for several reasons – to impress you; to protect you; to provide for you and to spend more time in your presence.
5. He will boast about his accomplishments, knowledge, and possessions.
He’s trying his very best to impress you by sharing where he has been; what he done; what he knows; and what he has. This is done to evoke your admiration of him and to let you know that he’s a man worthy of your affection. He’s showing you that he has what it takes to be the main man in your life.
6. You observe him staring at you.
Most men will stare at an attractive woman. However, if you regularly see him looking at you, then perhaps, he is romantically interested in you. You may just happen to turn around and you see him looking at you.
7. He will want to know a lot about you.
He will be very engaging in conversations. He will want to know as much about you as possible so he will ask questions and you will have his attention. He might even be interested in your hair routine!
8. He will compliment you frequently.
You will find that he will skilfully slip in a compliment from time to time. Most men are natural “sweet-talkers”, so if he doesn’t try to flatter you at all, he’s not interested or he’s very social awkward. He may praise you for your perfume; your hair; your smile; your laugh; your sense of humour; your outfit; etc.
9. He will find himself in your presence … up close and personal.
A man who is romantically interested in you wants to be in your personal space. For instance, he will just happen to drop by exactly where you are. Or, he will position himself to sit close to you. I was observing two singles in a wedding. Before the church ceremony, they were strangers. By the end of the reception, they were taking selfies together!😂 The guy wasted no time whatsoever!
10. You might hear mutual friends (or his relatives) mention that he has been talking about you.
Unless his interactions with you are top secret, a man WILL naturally start talking about you to his close friends and family. They will be hearing “Kimberly said this” or “Kimberly said that.” It’s in our human nature to speak about people and things that excite us. By the time they meet you, they will have a pretty good idea of who you are.
Bonus:
Your friends or family, who are observing your interactions between “Jason” and you, will tell you that he likes you. If you hear this from more than one person, it’s probably true.
A BIG WARNING
Although I’ve listed several points that indicate a man is romantically interested in you, you will only be 100% certain that he wants to be in a serious relationship with you when he takes the step to verbally express his interest in you. A man, who thinks he is ready for marriage, will get the nerve to tell you! Therefore, if you think that a man likes you, don’t start fantasizing about a marriage with him. He may not like you ENOUGH to pursue you for marriage.
Also, if he’s waiting for you to make the move, he’s not ready to be the head of a home in a marital relationship. God has called men to be the head of the family. Allow him to start taking a lead role even in dating. The way a man behaves in pre-dating, dating and courtship is a good indication of the way he will be inclined to lead his future family (unless God intervenes and changes his perspective).

Summary
Look out for the signs to discern if a man is romantically interested in you. However, unless he declares his interest in you with his words, it would be wise to remain sober and not go ahead of yourself. A man may be romantically interested in you, but it does not necessarily follow that he will want to marry you. That’s just life. Also, you may not feel the same way! Unless he makes his intentions known to you, relax and enjoy your friendship with him.
